Kolybithres is probably the most famous beach on the island because of their million year old granite rock formations that are part of a unique geology. Even though they can be reached by car or public transport, it is worth taking one of the retired fishing boats from the port of Naoussa that transfer people across daily, and enjoy the great views. Once you are there pick a spot on your favourite rock and enjoy the crystal clear waters.
Paros has a long tradition as an island that is ideal for water sports. The Windsurfing World Championship was held for many years at the Golden Beach and still attracts lovers of the sport. Sports like surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing, kayaking and canoeing, kiteboarding, waterskiing, jetskiing, and scuba diving are available with certified trainers at beaches like Golden Beach, New Golden Beach and Santa Maria.
Pounda Beach is one of the most famous and most crowded beaches of Paros. It is a fully organized beach located 2 kilometres from Logaras which offers a big tourist complex with many interesting facilities such as swimming pools, restaurants, bars, shops, sea sports material, bungee jumping, etc. Most of the visitors are going to Pounda for its various beach facilities and for its loud music and endless parties. To get to the beach you have to pass through the bar area with the swimming pool in the middle. If you want to use the loungers then you are expected to buy a drink from one of the bars behind them. The beach itself is quite straight and about 250m long. Pounda Beach can be reached by asphalted road, by local buses of private transportation.
